Blowing Rock, NC

I am building a house in Blowing Rock, NC. It is a timber frame structure, SIP panel, geothermal, solar panel BARN.

Carolina Timberworks was my first choice. They are astonishingly good. The big timbers were delivered on Tuesday along with a trailer. Wednesday morning found the job site crawling with hardhats. Thursday at 7am, a crane arrived and by 7pm, the timber frame was complete. Friday was odd. The only trace they left was a pine tree hanging on the western peak of this astounding structure.

We could not be more pleased with the level of service and care Eric M, Eric O, and the entire CTW crew put into our project. Our project was not without its challenges as we had issues with the stain color being inconsistent, this is where I think the integrity of CTW was exemplified. They worked to make everything right and did not stop until we were completely satisfied. I would highly Recommend CTW for any project!

It is our pleasure to write a review of Carolina Timberworks (CTW). Our experience with CTW was excellent and professional in every way. We were new to the High Country of Western North Carolina. As such, we had very few references; we had an idea of what we wanted as an end result, but getting there was going to be a challenge. We had no familiar faces to deal with or to know whom we could trust.

Eric Morley and his team are truly timber artists. We have had them do two projects for us, both wonderful porches in the mountains – One about 10 years ago and one last summer. The workmanship is beyond compare! We have and will continue to recommend them to anyone who wants to build a post and beam structure – they’re the best!

New River, Virginia

Carolina Timberworks used my reclaimed wood from Revient, LLC and built the timber frames for my home and garage. They also did other timber and wood work in the house: a staircase; an indescribable, 1/4 circle, hanging timber sculpture defining my kitchen area; a coffered ceiling in the master bedroom and downstairs media room and a gazebo, screened in porch. Everyone who sees their work is very impressed at the beauty and craftsmanship. My garage will now have to sub as an entertainment room because it is so amazing.

David M. Gandy

The timber beams you built for us can only be described as absolutely magnificent. The lodge room where they are placed is the architectural highlight of the entire house, mainly attributed to the fir beams. I can not say enough about your personal service and great attention to detail. All of the site visits, design work, and pre-installation efforts made for an end results that far exceeded our high expectations. Everyone that comes through the house is amazed at their beauty…. Thanks again for a job very well done!!

I just want to say thanks for the great job you guys did on the beams… they look awesome! You all did a wonderful job of taking our ideas and concepts and making them a reality. They really add a tremendous amount to the overall look of our new home. You guys have been great to work with as well and we appreciate all you have done. Even when we had problems you took care of them without question. Your craftsmanship shows in the work that was done. The signatures on the top of the beam also show the personal pride that was taken in creating the beams and was a neat personal touch.
